NSM Slimline Celebration Blog Hop

Welcome to our National Stamping Month Slimline Celebration Blog Hop!

The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

Our Slimline Celebration lineup includes (3) Stamp and Thin Cut sets, (1) E-Size Sentiments Stamp set PLUS (2) Thin Cuts...available as individual items or TWO BUNDLE options at a 20% discount!

If you have come here from Kathy's Snips, Snaps and Scraps' Blog, you are on the right path!

So my goal with this Special was to incorporate it into a scrapbook page!

I feel like the only photos I've taken in the past year is of the house and the massive renovation we undertook!

So when my kids treated me to a FULL DAY celebration on my 51st Birthday I was thrilled AND we took some fun photos too!

I'm in LOVE with this Slimline Sentiments Stamp Set and really wanted to use it here...

There are so many awesome sentiments in this E-Size stamp set...add to that the fact that several of them can be used for more than just our Slimline Card line!

There's so many things I'm obsessed with in the new Core Catalog and if you haven't checked it out yet, go look! One product group is the wood and black and white embellishments in stars, hearts, arrows, brackets, flowers, alphas and numbers! Completely obsessed with them all!

So many Stars in this package!

This is all the numbers you get in a package!

I've used the negative space to fill in the Star Cluster  Thin Cut in some areas and also used the star bits as embellies on the page.

My new FAVOURITE colour is Harbour and that's what I used for the cardstock and the Star Cluster Thin Cut. I also cut some of the As We Grow patterned paper leftover bits throughout the layout and with the Star Cluster Thin Cut as well to get some of the Mulberry pattern and Stars pattern from the As We Grow paper collection in the thin cut.

Perfect solution for that extra photo you want to include but don't have space OR don't want to change the design/look of the layout...FLIP FLAPS my friends...if you haven't tried them out yet you totally need too!

Harbour cardstock Stitched Circles Thin Cuts, a star from the Star Cluster Thin Cuts AND add to my list of favourites...our new Tabs Thin Cuts! Did I say I'm obsessed?!!! Clustering them together on this Flip Flap makes it obvious and easy to lift up the flap to see what's under...which holds my journaling about my day!

Thanks for stopping by and participating in this Hop!

Happiness Lives Here - Canadian Blog Hop!

Hello my Friends!!!

It's been what feels like forever, since I've added any new posts here...which I'm really bummed about.

Renovations on our Otter Farmhouse are coming along but with that being said, also SUPER time consuming and disruptive for me with having to 'manage' several aspects of it on a daily basis!

So I'm so happy that one of the 'perks' of being a Close To My Heart Maker is that I have access to the new product ONE MONTH prior to it going LIVE!

We have made some changes to our Canadian Blog Hop...we will now be Hopping every other month on the 20th! So you will have a chance to see creations from the *New Seasonal Catalogs (2 month cycle) in one Hop!

Welcome to our Blog Hop featuring artwork created using new and fabulous products found in our current (Jan/Feb) catalog. To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, contact your local consultant to place an order.

If you've arrived from Kim's Blog you're on the right track!

The first layout I've created by adding Kraft CS to my White Daisy CS base and the rest were scraps from my kit after I created (2) double-page layouts.

I wanted a little 'something' from behind my 6x4 photo mat so I just used scraps again from my stash of vellum strips that I hand tore and tucked behind the PP mat.

If you are wanting to 'scrap your stash' and use up bits of your pattern papers...this design concept does the trick!

Create more photo opportunities with our fabulous Flip Flaps  or hide your journalling. Also, consider adding different sized photos on your layouts to add some visual interest AND to get more images in to support your story!

The sunshine was making an appearance in these photos too, can you tell?!!

Add some interest but adding your title on a curve.

The second layout created from this paper collection is on a Black CS base...which really makes everything pop, don't you think?

Nothing much to this layout in terms of complicated design, just 6 different photo spots and some fun embellishing with the stickers in this pack and some added Wood Shapes!

'Family' was created from the heavy weight stickers however we've just come out with this Letter Tiles Stamp and Thin Cut set so you can recreate this look with your own title...so fun to be able to add this touch in your title and have it be completely customizable too!
The third layout created is on White Daisy CS and you'll notice that the Wood Shapes have been inked!!! How cool is that?! I've used Peach, Sage and Blue Belle inks to colour the wood shapes.

You can also ink them with some Ranger Distress Oxides now available to purchase through us...that is exciting news if you didn't already know.
