October SOTM Blog Hop - Autumn Air

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

We will be featuring October's SOTM, which is called 'Autumn Air', a set of over 14 stamp images !!!

If you have come here from Haley's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.

If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

This month we have 28 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.

This was a fun card to make, creating layers, paper piecing and rock & roll stamping!

The acorn was first stamped onto White Daisy cardstock, then the Saffron patterned paper. I fussy cut out the acorn from both but kept a white border around the white cardstock and no border around the patterned paper.

You may also have noticed I've tucked a Starbucks Coffee card behind the patterned paper...I just left to top free of adhesive and made sure to have a line of adhesive about a 1/4" shorter than the length of the Starbucks card.

I stamped the sentiment with Saffron ink first and then loaded some Paprika and stamped away!

The coffee cup was cut from Kraft cardstock plus the cup cozy was run through my old crinkle tool  (crimper?) from Fiskars!

I LOVE this stamp and Thin Cut combo 'Perk Up' (available Oct-Nov) AND the retired Border Thin Cuts  (notebook edge)...these types of dies are a staple item in my tool bag! I dug up some retired Triangle Studs too!

Products Used:

October SOTM - Autumn Air- S1910
Hawthorn Paper Packet
Borders Thin Cuts
Espresso, Paprika & Saffron Inks
Bronze & White Twine
Foam Tape

Now hop on over to Jen's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!

Remember, the October SOTM is only available until the 31st of October!

lovin' our new Julep Colour of the Year!

I decided to add our new mix-ins paper pack to use with both paper collections, Every Little Thing and Hawthorn, which I'll be showcasing over the next two months! This month we have many Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using product just released from our newest Seasonal Expression Idea Book!

Welcome our newest colour JULEP to the Close To My Heart family!!!

This quite possibly could become your new favourite colour, as it has mine!

I created this layout using some of our *new Mix-In papers, Julep cardstock and Julep Glitter paper.  (I will have a full list at the end of this post)

Time to get more trip photos scrapbooked and into albums! This was a selfie taken at the top of a tower in a heritage park in Thailand...it was a scorcher of a day, super humid AND all females had to cover their arms and legs to enter the park.

I've used a SVG cut for the stacked 'joy' title and backed the 'O's with scraps of the mix-in pack. I also cut out several leaves from Charcoal cardstock and used our *new Thin-Cuts layered Leaves, which has been added to my favourite things list as well!

We joined forces with renowned calligraphy and lettering expert Melissa Esplin...I've added the image 'today, I choose joy' from the *new Joy by Melissa Esplin exclusive stamp set! This was stamped in Charcoal ink and backed on White Daisy cardstock, cut from our Stitched Circle Thin Cut die. The Julep glitter paper matting this sentiment was cut from the inside of the Shaker Thin Cut die...I absolutely LOVE the fonts used in this set.

You may have also noticed the lovely butterfly above?...meet our Exclusive Stamp & Thin Cut included in the *new Every Little Thing Cardmaking Workshop kit! Ummmm...yes please!

Thanks so much for taking the time today to check out our Hop...I know you'll have found LOTS of new product you LOVE...most of the products you'll see are only available September 1st to October 31st...so don't delay if there's some items you must have! Contact your Consultant to place an order or head to the Consultant locator on closetomyheart.com to find one near you!

After returning for our 2019 Convention in Provo, Utah...I had the perfect colourful photos and theme for this collection!

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't sure about this paper suite...but once I got into it and started creating, I now know I do love it! LOL...sometimes a paper suite will 'speak to me' and sometimes it doesn't...but then sometimes it just takes me digging into it!

You'll notice that our black chipboard is now a solid black! No more inking the edges for this girl! woot woot Close To My Heart, thank you!

If you haven't tried our Flip Flaps, they are literally the best on the market...we have the highest quality page protectors and flip flaps out there...I needed another spot for two more photos so this 3x4 flip flap fit the bill.

During our tour of the Home Office, we came upon this hall recognizing all of our Company's Top Sellers...one wall for Canada, one wall for USA, one wall for New Zealand & one wall for Australia! They will now need to add one wall for JAPAN as we announced this Convention that they will be joining our Company!
How exciting is that?!!!

I spotted my photo up there, that was an awesome surprise!

This paper suite is so versatile and absolutely adorable...I dug into the past for photos of my son exploring in our backyard for bugs!

I knew when I started creating this layout exactly what photos were in the shoebox in my closet and I loved scrapbooking older photos this month.

I added some watercolour paint splatters and random stamping with our Into The Wild Scrapbooking stamp set (D1842) and I really love the look of stamping on my layouts AND of course you know how I feel about wood veneer!

Combining the stickers from the coordinating Complements sheet and our NEW foam Alphabet Sticker...yes please!

The stamping was first, second and third generation using Sapphire Ink.

This collection has so many great products that coordinate from papers to stickers & chipboard to wood bits and burlap twine!

LOVE LOVE it all !!!
