Let it Snow?

Here's the Layout I'd like to feature for next month's Club. I am using the 'Aspen' (X7103B) paper pack from CTMH, the Dimensional Elements Simple-lowercase alphabet(Z1048), Dimensional Elements-Flurry(Z1225),Prisma Glitter (Z134), White Daisy Sassy Strands(Z400) and the Winter Craft Buttons(Z1284).

Here's a Bonus layout I've done using some of the products I've already listed. For this project I dipped into the Creme Brulee Ribbon Rounds Collection (Z1131) and I used my Fiskars border punches and my colored staples.

I hope to get busy with some more projects to use up this Aspen paper pack, thanks for stopping by.

'Jingle' all the way...

I was feeling like a busy little Elf this month with all this fantastic Christmas/Winter paper from Close To My Heart called 'Jingle' ! I couldn't decide which LO to have this month's Club work on so we have been doing them all.

This LO below is featured in the 'Reflections' Scrapbook Program (item#9031) Book:Title Topper-Heading and on page 11 of the Autumn/Winter 2009 Catalog.
I used the Jingle paper pack, Holiday Trinkets (D1366) Stamp Set, Liquid Glass (Z679), Dimensional Elements-Flurry(Z1225), Dimensional Elements-lowercase Simple Alphabets(Z1048)
and the blue bracket is from the Heartfelt Die-cuts (Z1210)
This LO is featured in the 'Reflections' Scrapbook Program (item#9031) Book:Front and Center-In the Middle and on page 8 of the Autumn/Winter 2009 Catalog.
I used the Jingle paper pack, Holiday Trinkets (D1366) Stamp Set,
the Chocolate Alphabet Small (D1296), Liquid Glass (Z679),
Twinkle Brads Jolly Asst.(Z1220) and some Olive cardstock paper.

This is the Workshops on the Go featured two page layout in the brochure.
The 'Jingle' WOTG kit (G1002) includes the 'Jingle' paper pack,
Twinkle Brads Jolly Asst.(Z1220) and the exclusive My Acrylix® Somethin’ Special stamp set which is only available through the WOTG kit purchase. It is a great little set because
it works for Scrapbook LO's and Cards. I also used the Cranberry Ribbon Rounds (Z1209)
and the blue bracket is from the Heartfelt Die-cuts (Z1210)

Thanks for looking and Happy Scrappin'

Happy November!

Well it has been a while, sorry, we have been very busy here with Halloween Parties,
BC Crop for Kids fundraising and the FLU...

The BC Crop for Kids event was held in Abbotsford at the Ramada and was a great success. Although the final numbers aren't in yet, it was a packed house! I personally attended 5 classes, with some fabulous instructors. Cari Locken, Debby Visser, Tia Bennett and Sonja McLean are some of my favorite teachers. Check out their Blogs and you will see for yourself how inspiring they all are. Here is some of my required tools for scrappin'...

Halloween was great! Although I only have two kids still dressing up...at that they pieced together costumes themselves and went out with friends..last year, I fear was the last time I got great photos of them in their costumes.

I did however get some great pictures of the decorations for the Halloween Party my daughter Marissa hosted for some of her school friends...oh to be 13 again...

While I'm not planning on posting any photos of the Flu! I should run up and give my son some TLC and Tylenol! Take Care and thanks for stopping by.

Getting Twitterpated!

Well as interesting as that sounds ;)...I have to say that working with CTMH's new 'Twitterpated' paper line has been fun! My first Workshop Club met on Wednesday and everyone had a great time. I love seeing how everyone has put together their very own WOTG layout. My sample is a guide and remember you are the artists behind each of these layouts, it's the photos and embellishing you do that make it your own...

Cheryl was the lucky winner of the draw prize this week.

Remember to bring your Scrapbooking and Card Making creations every week to get your name entered into that evenings draw. Our goal is to continue working with our paper packs and
embellishments once you get home...keep the creative juices flowing and win some free stuff!!

Getting Twitterpated...

Had a chance to quickly cut and stamp these cards one hour before my second group of CTMH ladies arrived Wednesday evening. I finished them all off the next day and aren't they cute! The Workshop on the Go kit for October is using the new Twitterpated paper pack. The two page layout from the last post and these 6 cards (two each of the three different designs) are what I have made so far. I have used some liquid glass to help embellish each of the cards...drops in the centre of the leaves, creating a polka dot pattern on the Colonial White cardstock and giving the look of texture on the back of the Hedgehog. Sometimes taking the time to add a little detail is what really finishes off a project or adds that extra zing to something that would otherwise look plain. Taking advantage of the Exclusive Stamp Set included in each WOTG kit is a great way to continue with the theme and have all your work coordinate. Something I have come to appreciate in CTMH's Faster.Simpler.Easier. approach to Scrapbooking and Cardmaking. Thanks for looking and stay tuned for some more layouts with this great Twitterpated paper pack.

Welcome Back!

A warm Welcome Back to my CTMH ladies! We had our first Club night last night and everyone was hard at work...it did take longer than I'm sure some of them would have liked, but it is always great to have that opportunity to chat and socialize with our Scrapbooking Sisters :) I'm excited to see how the year is going to unfold and am glad to have met some new Scrappin' sisters in the process.
Welcome Back to school for my children too! Yippee!!! I'm not sure who is happier...Olivia (grade 10)has changed to a High School closer to us, Marissa (grade 8) is glad to finally have some of her friends in her class at her Fine Arts School and Matthew (grade 6)has started Middle School and the Hockey Academy. As much as they usually dread the end of summer, I'm quite sure they are enjoying the new teachers and classmates.
Here's a sneek peek of the October Layout for the WOTG Club, we are using the Twitterpatted paper and embellishments...thanks for looking.

Getting Back to School

Well we might not be back to school yet, but I'm warming up to the idea by doing a couple LO's with the 'Emporium' pp we will be using for Sept. Club night with my CTMH ladies...it's getting me back into the swing of things. It is definitely a challenge to Scrap older photos...especially prior to being a Scrapbooker. I am continueing to work a little at a time on my three kids' Elementary and Middle school albums...hopefully I'll finish them before they all graduate!
I have loads of paper left in September's WOTG kit and my goal is to use it all up!

Here's the finished layout for Club that I did using some photos from the arrival of my newest niece, Sadie and a couple bonus LO's I've done so far in an effort to get school albums up to date...
Enjoy your day!

Memory Workshop Scrapbook Co.

I was asked to be the Guest Designer for the Memory Workshop's September kit. The Memory Workshop Scrapbook Company specializes in big events...all day crops, fundraising crops and weekend retreats. In addition to that they offer a wonderful monthly kit club - The Page Builders Club. Each months kit includes cardstock, patterned paper and an assortment of embellishments as well as a tool of some sort. Check out Sandra's site, I'm a big fan and kit club member myself! Here's a sneak at a couple of the layouts I did for her...
Have a great day!

Let's Get Busy!

Getting back into the swing of things...that's my goal! As much as I had good intentions of doing some serious catching up with my scrapbooking over the summer break, I fell seriously short...I'm making up for lost time. I have been busy playing with some of the new paper lines that CTMH has in the Autumn/Winter catalog...lots of sneak peeks yet to come.

Here is a tiny peek of some of the extra projects I've completed using the Emporium Paper that we will be working with for the September Hostess Clubs...I am endeavoring to use up as much of the kit as I can. I have to say that I am lovin' the 'Heartfelt Whimsy' felt die-cut sheets.

Don't forget to pull out that sewing machine everyone...it is a great way to add texture and dimension to your pages.

Have a fantastic day!

CTMH 'Sneak Peek'

Well check out my pile of loot! Time to do a little playing with these two new paper lines 'Jingle' and 'Twitterpated' and of course the eight new stamp sets I had to get! I hope to get some pics up with what I've played with soon! Sorry the colour isn't the greatest, evening time. I have to say pictures don't do these new paper lines justice...I can hardly wait to start working with this new Christmas line 'Jingle' and the felt and dimensional elements look fantastic!

October's Workshop Sneak Peek

Here's a sneak peek of the 'Twitterpated' paper pack that CTMH has just released. I really like the paper and love the fact that they are offering an Exclusive B-size stamp set only through the Workshop program. I can't wait to get my hands on this paper and get creating some cards just like these ones! Hopefully these recipes in the Workshop Guide will help me on my way with more cards...I seem to hit a brick wall when it comes to Cardmaking...thank goodness for CTMH's new Cardmaking Workshop kits!

New Catalog Release!

As an Independant Consultant for Close to my Heart, I am really excited about the new format to the CTMH catalog and the designs they have created to accompany all of their fantastic paper collections and accessories! Check out my site for the complete catalog before you get your hands on one of your own...a little teaser! I have of course, for those that know me, got a wish list already tabulated and am planning on ordering it all! I have hopes to have it in my Hot Little Hands by the time my first Clubs start in September...hopefully by the time of my August Class...stay tuned!

Now while we are in the mood for sneek peeks, here is the layout for October's Club working with CTMH's Twitterpated paper collection...

'Workshop on the Go' September Layout

Here's a sneak peek of the September Club layout. We are going to be working with the 'Emporium' paper and Stickease, Connections & Boutique Borders stamp set, and pewter Designer Brads...I've added ink and paper edge distressing as well as some machine stiching. I tried working a little with the Sweet Leaf ink and the rubber brayer...first time for me on that technique. The 'Workshop on the Go' Guide has us using this brayer technique around the four sides of each of the 12x12 cardstock, but after trying it out, I wasn't liking it so I opted to run one of the borders in the Boutique Borders stamp set instead. I used the Rock ad Roll effect with the Sweet Leaf and Cocoa inks and liked it more. I did do the rubber brayer Sweet Leaf ink technique on the accent patterned paper piece on the left side of the layout, I liked it there! It might have been a little too stark against the Antique White cardstock...I'll have to get some feedback come Club night from some of the ladies. I'll update the photos once I finish off the layout with journalling and pictures.

Getting ready to Rumble!

This is the beginning of Summer-Ball for us! I have to admit that as much as we are extremely busy when it starts...I really enjoy being outdoors (fair weather permitting) and watching Baseball. Matthew really enjoys sitting here at my desk and looking through all of the hundreds of pictures too! I am looking forward to working with these summer-ball pictures. I have stocked up with some CTMH 'Game On' paper as well as some WE R Memory Keepers 'MVP' paper, time to get busy. With the past two days of rain and cooler weather, I don't feel guilty staying holed up in my workshop. Whatever works for productivity...

June 'Preview' Workshop

Well it has certainly been a while but I've been busy! With school and the endless field trips that occur come year end...I have got two different workshops featuring Close to my Heart products on the go and I am very excited about them! We worked with the Moon Doggie paper pack on Monday night and I think they all turned out great! I really enjoyed this paper and the 'Extreme Happiness' stamp set was great to work with, I really think they look fantastic.

My precious little baby Lucy...

Is one month old here...she has gained lots and is a whoppin' 1 pound and 3.5ozs. We thought we'd get a better idea of her size later on by sitting her inside my coffee mug, which reads..."It's not easy looking this beautiful, this early in the morning!" She is very sweet and starting to really show her personality with her playful nature and curious spirit.

New layouts

Here's a 2 page layout I completed using the Emporium paper with CTMH. I also thought that this Bella paper was the perfect fit for these old photos of Marissa...I hope to take a better picture of both these layouts tomorrow. Thanks for looking

Grade 3 Ballet

Well I'm so proud of Marissa and her success with her Grade 3 Ballet Exam! She was awarded 'Merit' which apparently is quite good! Shows you what I know...anyway, I have spent the better part of this afternoon trying to figure out a new scanner/printer/fax for our home office that is WiFi and therefore took a little concentration. Luckily I have it up and running and my husband can get his stuff printed out upstairs now as opposed to coming into my workshop to use my printer! All is well...now I'm off to scan Marissa's certificate from the Queen of England herself...well not exactly, but from the Royal Academy of Dance in England anyways :) I will get a page done on this milestone right away!

Year-End Dance Show

Getting ready for Competitions and Year-End Productions are always alot of work. You have got to remind your child to check and double check her costumes...are all the bits and pieces there? Are you sure? Check again! I can't wait to see the final show this year as the girls have been working on their 'Four Seasons' to Vivaldi and it looks like it's going to be fantastic, young ladies on soft and pointe, so beautiful! We are so proud of how much Marissa has accomplished in her year at her new studio, trying new techniques and styles...love to see her grow.
Break a leg!

CTMH June Club Night

Well , last night was the last night with Esther Vuong as our Close to my Heart Consultant as she and her family are moving to Armstrong! We completed this layout and I added these photos of my dog Chloe's new additions. Come next September I will hopefully have a couple full Clubs of my own as I am just getting things organized myself as a new CTMH Independant Consultant. Thanks for looking.
