Only a couple more days before the peak of Christmas activities happen in this household!

I do love the lights and traditions of Christmas...not the mall but definitely all the things I get to do during the month!

Another great sketch from Mich and Let's Scrap Sketches...hopefully you'll have some time to create this month...

I am almost done scrapbooking LAST Christmas...pretty exciting to be up to date on one year of Christmas LOL

This is 'A Perfect Christmas' paper collection from Echo Park...love the black in these papers.

Love the ephemera pack and brads that came with this paper collection!

I got to dig into my stash with this one...LOVE my wood veneer bits...especially in alphabet mode!

Hello December !

Are you all ready for the busiest time of the year?!!!  I think I am, but almost always I am not...it's a denial thing.

Check out this great sketch from Let's Scrap Sketches for the 1st of the month...

You will see this paper collection again later this month as I'm working on completing 2016 Christmas before we celebrate 2017 Christmas LOL!

Poor colour day, it's dark and rainy and not so good for taking photos!

'A Perfect Christmas' by Echo Park...I like it !

This paper collection seems to work out perfectly with all of our Christmas Sweaters :)

Head on over to Let's Scrap Sketches to see what the other Design Team created and to play along with us!

Yup! November 15th means a new sketch from Let's Scrap Sketches!

I'm not sure about you, but I have a handful of these pre-cut 12x12 die sheets...this sketch looks like the perfect spot to get using them!

These Close To My Heart Block Alphabet thin cuts are my new best friend! No more looking for the right niumber of vowels...just cut your own title from the paper collection you're playing with.

I hope you have a chance this time to play along with this sketch...if you'd like to be entered into the draw at Let's Scrap Sketches...head on over to the blog to upload your layout!

Check out what the other Design Team ladies have created too :)

November 1st means a new sketch for you and me!

This sketch is a throw back to 2015 but it's still awesome so let's do it again, ok?!!!

Let's Scrap Sketches wants you to play along too! Create and post your link on the Blog to be entered into a draw! Remember your layout doesn't have to be an exact match! Let the sketch get you started and we will see what you come up with :)

This layout I decided to work with the Page Club kit from Cherry Lane Scrapbook Shoppe that I design for...

This is about the time I scrapbook the previous year's Christmas photos!!! I improvised a little once again with this sketch...I LOVED the octagon shapes but it wasn't happening with this layout...so I recreated the basic photo arrangement and banner along the bottom.

This is the Echo Park 'A Perfect Christmas' collection...I really love these traditional colours and our dinner last year with all our Christmas sweaters worked perfectly too.<3 font="">

These 4x6 and 3x4 cards are a great way to add a 'title' to your page.

Layer stickers to add dimension, pop them up with foam tape...any amount of jute twine is a must for me!

I decided to have white borders around my photos on this layout as I wanted to tie in the white that was in the paper and the stickers.

Thanks for stopping in today!

Make sure you head on over to the Let's Scrap Sketches Blog to see what the other Design Team created with this sketch...you never know what will trigger your creative spark!

Echo Park 'A Perfect Christmas'
black card stock
red jute twine

It's the 15th of October already! Sheesh this month is going by faster than September did!!!

Lucky for you and me though...we have a new sketch to inspire you from Let's Scrap Sketches :)

So I started with this sketch, but once again I ended up somewhere completely different!!!

Remember that everything is an inspiration or influence when you are creating and that you should enjoy the process and see where your creative time takes you...don't worry so much on everything being exact but instead let the inspiration spark your creativity :)

I'm using Falling for You from Close To My Heart...links at the end of the post...love me some FALL! (remember to click the images to get a close up look)

So the history about these photos goes back to when
my son was first born.

I used to get his sisters to give him a smooch on both cheeks for a photo...they used to think it was cute and Matthew used to as well.

Currently, Matthew no longer lets me get the shot I used to...no surprise seeing as he's almost 20! Maybe someday in the future he will think it's cute again LOL

I liked the idea of text running the length on the layout and will likely try this technique again...I used the September SOTM (stamp of the month) from CTMH, Feel So Blessed, to stamp the 'so thankful' sentiment...I LOVED that stamp.

All stickers and compliments were from the Falling for You Complements pack...great value.

Products Used:

X7223B - Falling for You paper pack
X7223C - Falling for You Complements
Z4030 - White & Bronze Twine
Z4029 - Bronze Sequins
Asst. CTMH cardstock

October 1st already!

Another fun sketch too...I started with this sketch but as you can see...once inspired, you usually just drift into a completed layout...which isn't a bad thing LOL

Make sure to head on over to the Let's Scrap Sketches Blog to see what the other Design Team have created.

Working with some leftover bits and paper from this month's Page Club Kit and some photos of my recent long weekend getaway into the interior...forest fire smoke wasn't going to keep us from enjoying the outdoors :)

I have to say I love the colours of this Simple Stories 'Cabin Fever' paper collection.

The jute burlap and mini staples pair nicely too!
Have fun creating along with us this month.

Welcome back!

It's the 15th of the month which means another sketch from

Looks like fun right?!!

This sketch was perfect for my Australian trip and a handful of photos from our beach visits up the Gold Coast.

This was a CTMH paper collection from last catalog called 'No Worries' and we definitely had none of those when we visited Australia! It reminded me of Vancouver in so many ways!

So many great embellishments in this collection and I loved playing with the Burlap Ribbon too.

So glad you popped over for a visit...make sure you follow the links to the other Design Team members on the blog to check out their creations in detail through their blogs!

We love to have visitors...and we love it when
you play along with us.

Good Morning! and Happy September 1st to all of you!

I am going to treat this month as a fresh start with this blog of mine...I REALLY need to get back into the journalling, uploading and sharing that I originally wanted from this Blog for all my Creative peeps out there :)

So let's start this month off with a new sketch from Let's Scrap and look at our Design Team's creations.

Michelle has created another fun sketch...remember you can always click on the images to get a larger look at details :)

I feel like it's been forever since I've created for just me so I was excited to jump in this month :) Getting one more layout in the book from my trip to Thailand in March this year!

Here's the two pages together, I cut the large globe from my Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridge 'Flower Market' and set it to 'fill page' which was perfect!

I had left overs from a Page Club kit using the Photo Play 'Boarding Pass' line.

LOVE these American Crafts word thickers...a must have in every scrapbookers' stash LOL

A few Ephemera bits and leftover sequins from my recent 'No Worries' Page Club using CTMH product :)

Oh and check out the CTMH burlap ribbon.

I hope you have a chance to play along with us at Let's Scrap Sketches...head on over there to see what the other Design Team ladies created!

Happy June 1st!!!

Yes, I am as amazed as you are that we are entering June 2017...where oh where has the year gone already !!!

BUT, with a new month comes a couple new sketches to imspire you so here you go:

Lots of spots for photos, journalling cards, flip flaps...you name it.

I just happened to have some embellishments that look like they were made for this sketch !

The cans were fussy cut from the paper but the tags and banners along the top were from the Ephemera pack that was available with this collection :)

This was a trip I went on with my man to Ucluelet, BC in February...it was all about enjoying the beauty of the area...nature, forest trails, the ocean and of course yummy food at the local restaurants and brewery :)

I played with the CTMH Ink Blot stamp set too...

Head on over to the Let's Scrap Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team did this time...remember to play along too <3 font="">

Hello my Creative Friends!

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you… now on to our hop!
If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join at Michelle Stewart's Blog.
If you came from Kirstin MacDonald's Blog, then you are in the right place!
I've been working through my Sugar Rush paper pack and when I came upon the layout design on Page 31 of the newest Seasonal Expressions catalog, I knew I wanted to use up the remaining scraps and try out the new stamp set too!

Every year I try to get the kids to recreate a photo that I took when they were tiny...back in the day, my son let his sisters give him a smooch!

I call it a Matthew sandwich :)

This year he was having no part of it...he sat for some photos but not an exact match! This version is actually far more entertaining.

I have to admit I haven't really played with the ShinHan markers...I like them...they worked perfectly and the colour match is pretty good too.

Supplies Used:
  • Sugar Rush Paper Packet (X7215B)
  • Dreamin' Big-Scrapbooking stamp set (D1714)
  • Black Momento Ink (Z899)
  • Raspberry Ink (Z2812)
  • Sea Glass Ink (Z2813)
  • Blossom Ink (Z2810)
  • Whisper Ink (Z2172)
  • ShinHan Touch Twin markers (Flesh, Rose Pink, Rose Red, Mint Green Light, Turquoise Blue, Pastel Yellow, Pastel Green)
  • White Daisy cardstock
  • Sugar Rush Washi pack ( Z3311)
  • Sugar Rush Dots (Z3310)
  • Sugar Rush Complements (X7215C)
Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Michelle Stewart's Blog!
Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques seen along the way. We hope you will join us again next month when we will be featuring projects featuring succulents and flowers. So mark February 15th on your calendars and hop along with us.

One Little Word

One Little Word®.....find.

That's my OLW for 2017...

One Little Word® is something I've always wanted to participate in fully but haven't until this year..it isn't too late for you to join in either privately or publicly (via Ali Edwards products)

My word for 2017 is 'find'...I chose that word as I feel I have a lot more self discovery to do this year and by participating in Ali's 12 month workshop, she can help motivate me to work on myself.

My goal is to share my journey here for any of you that are curious 😊

In her (Ali Edwards) words:

What is One Little Word®?

In 2006 I began a tradition of choosing one word for myself each January—a word to focus on, to live with, to investigate, to write about, to craft with, and to reflect upon as I go about my daily life. These words have each become a part of my life in one way or another—a process I document via simple creative monthly prompts from January to December.

You're invited to join me in choosing your own One Little Word®.

This project centers around a year-long workshop designed to inspire you and offers monthly creative prompts and encouragement as you let this word into your life.

We are excited to offer a growing selection of One Little Word® memory keeping products for you to customize your own documentation process.

Christmas Past

Happy New Year!

I'm afraid I've been rather absent this past month...I made the decision to focus on my family and friends and wanted to try to stay present there.

Staying off most things technical and being present in the moments was my big goal for December...also starting a December Daily album...inspired by Ali Edwards and a group of people around the world! So much inspiration out there if you only look ❤

I've got a great blast from the past Let's Scrap sketch for you today...

We have a couple months of revisiting some old sketch friends😉

I see my vertical 4x6 CTMH page protectors for this layout...super simple and done!

That's what's important right? Documenting life and the stories they tell...

This is from Christmas 2015
...first Christmas homeless 😉 we were waiting for our new home to finish being built and all living with my parents for 6 months!

It's difficult to get a good photo in page protectors...

So quite simply I slid photos into sleeves and trimmed a couple sheets of paper...added some stickers that coordinated and done!

If you haven't already discovered CTMH's Flip Flaps for adding interest and of course MORE photos! Then here they are! Message me if you want me to hook you up with some...they are AWESOME!

Here I love this sassy picture of Marissa (she is NOT a morning person) but wanted to hide it behind the flip flap 😊

Thanks for spending a few minutes of your day with me!
