These Are My People! Time is running out to grab this paper collection and Page Club kit!

I decided to work with this paper collection and highlight our Covid-19 story right now...I will be adding photos of our new everyday life in these challenging times!

These patterned papers are very neutral and the sticker sheet will work with any number of events, my designs could be switched up easily to be non-covid19 themed for sure!

These 'Let's Stay Home' and 'we're all in this together' cut files are available on the Make It From The Heart Blog...

I cut the world images from Carolina and Green Apple cardstock using our new Aurora Cardmaking kit.

We have this great Aurora cardmaking workshop with stamp set and thin cuts coming May 1st!

Found these 'germ' images online and played with them on my Design Space! I am loving playing with the Cricut these days!

I've added some splatters to the Carolina cardstock base with the Black Shimmer brush which was the perfect amount of effect I was looking for!

I really like how this last layout turned out just using the left over bits and stickers...I initially finished this but it didn't seem finished until I added some stamping to the layout background.

I used the stitched lines from the Aurora cardmaking workshop kit.

Those lines weren't quite enough so I added some splatters and tiny stars from a stamp in my stash.

Scrap Your Stash

Hello! How are you?! we are something like 5 weeks into our Corona Virus #stayhome situation right now and  I'm wondering what all of you are doing to keep yourself distracted from the world's event?

For me, scrapbooking is the greatest therapy of all...and I'm fortunate that I have so much STASH in my home that I could be home for years without running out! LOL

Yesterday's video in the Scrap Your Stash series I've started on my Facebook Page I was working with this sketch from our Close To My Heart 'Make It From Your Heart Volume 2'

There are loads of fantastic how-to designs in this book and it gives you exact measurements for cutting plus images to help you visualize other versions of each sketch also!

So this is what I used as a reference for the three photos I wanted to work with and this is how it turned out...you'll note that I just created the left page in this sketch!

So I made this sketch design work for me. I preferred the look of the Beach Script PP flush with the RHS edge of the Kraft CS edge. I also was working with some pieces I had leftover (scraps) and so my PP on the far left is off from the sketch but remember that a sketch is a starting off point, so don't obsess over 'exact' because no one knows any differently when they're looking through YOUR ALBUM!!!

The point as well when working through your stash...get into your embellishments! YES! I mean ALL of them, not just the ones that you purchased with your specific papers. You have a literal TREASURE in your creative spaces, so get on into them and start considering 'collecting' all your 'chachskis', 'bits and baubles', 'embellishments' into one storage style so you can use your stash more easily and have fun mixing things up!

Yiddish: Knickknacks, collectables, figurines. Small figures and mememtos that can be bought at gas stations, dollar stores, gift shops, tourist destinations, etc. These are usually used to give to friends or to decorate cubicles. Sometimes placed in curio cabinets and so forth.

I bought some lovely chachskis for my scrapbook page from Kristine!

Speaking of chachskis, I was able to locate some beach'y ones that came with these No Worries papers (in my scraps) of years gone by... PLUS using up more of the 'bits' which was AWESOME!

Can you see how I've sanded the edges of these photos? A great way to define, highlight or make them pop without having to mat them with CS...I created some extra 'scratch' lines with my sanding technique to add to the effect which I really like!

Thank you for popping by today and follow the Facebook link (above) to see the Scrap Your Stash videos if you're looking for something to do!!!

Life Documented...yes indeed! It still feels surreal, living in a pandemic and trying to be as 'normal' as we can! Who would have envisioned we would be trending #stayhome #covid19 #quarantine, am I right?!!

Well for some of us it means getting to those 'projects' and 'to-do lists' that we've been putting off because we didn't have time...boy have the tables turned on us now!

I don't know about you but I've been home pretty much full-time since March 11th...so that is what... 4 weeks!?

We listed my house two months ago and now that we've stopped showing, I can bring in the bins of scrapbook product I've been meaning to do something with! (LOL)

So I've been cutting and prepping and creating some pre-cut Kwik Kits to add to my mobile store...now that there isn't a mobile store needed in this current new 'normal'...I figured I could show them off here! I have a limited number of each of these kits, so if anyone would like one, let me know!

This layout is featuring a new cut file in our Cricut Everyday Moments Collection. Pair this with some older paper packs I've been collecting called Dotty for You!

The Sweet Life $11.50

Ok, so how cute is this?!!! It's all cardstock but LOADS of Cricut cuts! Also from our new Cricut Everyday Moments Collections.

 Magical $16.50

So who would've known I had some oldies but goodies in my stash?!! I didn't! This layout sat on my workspace and started as one thing and ended up here...can't wait to add some photos of John in his garage with his '66 Chevelle!

 Man Cave $14.95

I've added another cut from the Cricut Everyday Moments Collection, the Star outline is a fun one and I think this paper line was called 'Rock'On' ? maybe...

Hooray for You! $11.50

Message me on Facebook or by email if you'd like to grab one of these Kwik Kits, first come first serve as I do have limited numbers of each.

April Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring Seas The Day!

Hello and welcome to our Cross Canada Hop!

There are a few of us Canadian gals playing this month with the featured Seas The Day collection.

To purchase any of the items seen in our blog hop today, contact your local consultant to place an order or CLICK HERE.

We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do....by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see.

You should have arrived from Kim's Blog

This is a 6x8 technique page I created for an Everyday Life album filled with different techniques to show my customers!

I wanted to play with our embossing pens to show how fun they can be to add some pop to your papers! I've chosen to create some subtle details on my page but you could go even bolder if you used coloured embossing powder...

You can create images or follow the embossing pen along a pattern on the paper. Add clear or coloured embossing powder to the area you used the pen on and add the heat gun to 'melt' the embossing powder! If you haven't played with embossing powder yet it's time to start!

It was fun to play with the Seas The Day Cardmaking stamp and thin cuts too!

You can see above that I created a highlight on the two clouds.

Here I've added wave lines along the bottom.

It's harder to see above, but the striped patterned paper (thin yellow stripe) has some thin lines that have been embossed too!

You can obviously create some very interesting looks and showcased images along patterned paper, on cardstock or on top of stamped images too! You're only limited to your imagination!

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques seen along the way.

Join us again next month when we will be featuring more artwork from our NEWEST Seasonal Expression Idea Book!

So mark April 10th on your calendars and hop along with us when we feature our Aurora collection!
