Cool *new* Challenge Blog!!!

So in my constant mission to find cool things on the web...I've stumbled across a great new blog called 'Use It or Lose It'.
Nikka Geers, a fellow Close To My Heart Consultant, has created this blog with the hopes to get some of us CTMH fans to join along in the challenges...
you guessed it, to use it or lose it!

Now if any of you are like me, I love a challenge and often it is just what I need to get the ball rolling and to jump start my creative Mojo!

As you can see by this gorgeous photo, we are to take what we see in this picture and try to create our own artwork using this as inspiration...with the current snowy/wet conditions here on the West Coast in British Columbia, these colours are making me feel happy and creative!

This is what I've created from this piece of inspiration...forgive the colour...photos were taken this evening and they are truer to the inspirational photo than they look :)

White Daisy, Black, Lagoon and Pear Cardstock from Close To My Heart
Patterned piece is from the Magnifique paper collection
(Mojo Monday sketch)

One of my all time favorite stamp sets is the Enjoy Life set which is where the clock comes from and the sentiment is from the Card Chatter-Sympathy set...however, I think that this sentiment could work for any occasion as the sentiment does say 'happy thoughts' on the front and on the inside it says 'coming your way' so I'll probably use this for any number of events :)
Now how about you? Have an urge to play along?

  2. Fabulous card Kristine!! You're right that sentiment could work for many different occasions. We just got a BIG dump of snow here (near Sudbury Ontario) at least a foot if not more!!
Thanks so much for spreading the word about Use It or Lose It!! I think Nikka's idea to use up our scraps is a great one!!
