Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop

Hello Friends! Thanks so much for joining us this month. The Scrapbooking Global Design Team has a Blog Hop each month and you are welcome to join the Hop as well.

You will have arrived from Julia Quinn's Blog

I've been creating loads of layouts using our Autumn to Remember DSP and sticker sheet with Stampin' Up! Plus of course some exclusive dies, embossing folders and stamps too.

This month's challenge at Scrapbooking Global is a Tic Tac Board and I've picked the colour green, three or more photos and tags. What a great challenge to get these adorable photos of my daughter and my grandson having snuggles on his birthday in October. I love when the papers and photos and embellishments all work so great together...one more moment documented and in the books!

I had fun using our *new Hearts of Elegance stamp and die bundle and some gold embossing powder. I'm a sucker for the shapes and the fact that these hearts are a great size and work well for my layouts is a bonus! I will be getting loads of use outta them.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoyed my layout share. Hop on over to Michelle's Craft Cottage to see what she has created and then continue along for more inspiration.

Are We There Yet?

Hello Friends!

Are We There Yet? is our NEW Close To My Heart Collection! Perfect to highlight your travels near and afar as the designs in this paper suite will work universally for your adventures!

I've created a 6-page Workshop with this collection which has been fabulous to get more events documented and into my albums! Each kit is exclusively from me as it includes EXTRAS that are no longer available through my website! You can CONTACT ME HERE with any questions or if you'd like to grab this kit!

I am trying to create more in 2023, hopefully you've found some time to get documenting your stories too?

These layouts have a little of several techniques including stamping, die-cutting with our Thin Cuts, stencilling and hand-stitching too!

I haven't added hand-stitching on my layouts for many years as I always see it and think, 'that's WAY too much work!' but this time I decided to add a little and it really wasn't that much more work...I traced a circle in pencil lightly, used my paper piercer and poked holes, erased pencil line and then went back and stitched it... I love the look AND added dimension adding this little technique adds to the page.

The Postage Frames thin cuts are retired now but you could recreate this look with frames from your stash or even cutting frames from your cardstock using a ruler and exacto knife.

If you haven't discovered our SVG cuts that have been created specifically to co-ordinate with our paper suites...CLICK HERE! They help you elevate your artwork and often become frequently used favourites at the same time! This title and compass are in our Are We There Yet? SVG digital files.

I seldom finish a scrapbook layout without a FLIP FLAP! I am soooooo behind technically (depends on your state of mind) that I'm usually only interested in making one layout about something LOL. By adding a flip flap to your photo location, you've just been able to add two more photos on that same real estate. I do not want to over-crowd my pages with photos and this allows me to create an interactive page at the same time as more photos! or journalling!?!!

Did you know we also have stencils in our product line up?!! YUP, we do...12x12, Standard Card Fronts AND now Slimline Card Fronts! I've pulled out our Stencil Pack 1 to add some tone on tone stencilling to the background cardstock using TOFFEE INK.

The best part of playing with stencils is that it almost always adds some dimension and interest to an otherwise plain backdrop and you can really create some subtle and fun elements.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you've felt some inspiration yourself to play with some of those tools you have! Get those Border Punches, Metal Dies, Stencils, Stamps and Threads out on your next projects!

See you next time!

Wild Berry Blast Hop!

Welcome Back Friends!

We've got 5 MORE DAYS to take advantage of our fun Wild Berry Blast Exclusive product offering with Close To My Heart!

So 8 of my fellow Close To My Heart Makers have got some artwork to share with you using our Wild Berry Blast goodies. If you've arrived from Show & Tell with Michelle, then you're on the right track!

I have been working on so many albums and lucky for me ? I have LOADS of photos to work with as I have LOADS of stories to still tell!!!

I started with a PageMaps sketch and then I ended up somewhere else entirely which is why I LOVE using sketches for inspiration!

Wild Berry blast indeed...so much PINK right?! Well if you're like me, I needed this collection toned down a smidge. That's where the stencilling and ink splatters come in....

I knew I wanted to work with white cardstock but I also have had so much fun stencilling and playing with ink lately, so I added this fun brick stencil with the Wild Berry and Black CTMH ink pads.

I also cut these fabulous cut-files from my longtime friend Jennifer Edwardson Creative Inc. and they worked beautifully with our Wild Berry Blast paper collection, don't they?!!! I added some of our awesome black acrylic arrows which helped bring more black onto this page too.

The 12x12 sticker sheet is LOADED with images, icons, titles and words...and the chipboard sheet that is available with this collection I know I'll be able to use on many future projects.

Check out my list of products I've used below and don't be afraid to be bold with colour and use it in a non-typical way as well. I could have easily decided that this was 'too girly' and if I did, well, then I wouldn't have this fun new layout to add to John and my Italy album!

Thanks so much for stopping in, I hope you've picked up some inspiration along the way as well. Now it's time to head on over to Wendy's Blog to see what she's got to share!

This Workshop has a 6x12 Flip Flap insert which worked perfectly for the extra photos I had from this day...I've added two more photos by printing in the 3x4 format. The colours in this collection really do work with so many different events.

Meats and Cheese...like you've got hundreds of choices and it's all DELICIOUS!!!!!
I truly wanted to fill my suitcase.

Wild Berry Blast Collection!

Hello Friends!

I've been SUPER busy this week in my Workshop creating with so many NEW PRODUCTS and I can't wait to share them with you.

Today's highlight is our April Special, Wild Berry Blast. If you haven't had a good look at our Colour of the Year yet, then now's your time!

We've created some exclusive products with our Wild Berry including a paper pack with sticker sheet, cardstock, chipboard and a stamp set. I LOVE the stamp set and it will remain in my stamp collection (most don't stay FYI) as it's really fun and versatile for so many applications!

As you can see, this is Matthew's Prom Day and we went for a photo shoot before all the festivities started. There's a spot with LOADS of graffiti and I have been there before for photos when his sisters graduated as well...but the graffiti artwork has changed with each visit.

I used the Wild Berry paper pack and sticker sheet and also added in our current Mix-Ins (X9038) which is my all time favourite so far...it's the black print PP.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...adding stamping to your layouts really adds another layer of texture and dimension and if I can make it happen...I often do.

TIP: I laid out my photo mat and cut patterned papers roughly where I wanted them and with my background PP on my VersaMat, I inked up my burst stamp, moved the PP out of the way slightly and stamped in the three locations. Pretty much the eyeball technique...one of my favourites.

I adhered the 'guts' of the papers and photo block next then started adding layers of stickers, chipboard and more small stamps. You'll even spy on the photo below, our NEW VIP Exclusive Acrylic Shapes (arrow) that I added here! (more info about that below)

NSM Slimline Celebration Blog Hop

Welcome to our National Stamping Month Slimline Celebration Blog Hop!

The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

Our Slimline Celebration lineup includes (3) Stamp and Thin Cut sets, (1) E-Size Sentiments Stamp set PLUS (2) Thin Cuts...available as individual items or TWO BUNDLE options at a 20% discount!

If you have come here from Kathy's Snips, Snaps and Scraps' Blog, you are on the right path!

So my goal with this Special was to incorporate it into a scrapbook page!

I feel like the only photos I've taken in the past year is of the house and the massive renovation we undertook!

So when my kids treated me to a FULL DAY celebration on my 51st Birthday I was thrilled AND we took some fun photos too!

I'm in LOVE with this Slimline Sentiments Stamp Set and really wanted to use it here...

There are so many awesome sentiments in this E-Size stamp set...add to that the fact that several of them can be used for more than just our Slimline Card line!

There's so many things I'm obsessed with in the new Core Catalog and if you haven't checked it out yet, go look! One product group is the wood and black and white embellishments in stars, hearts, arrows, brackets, flowers, alphas and numbers! Completely obsessed with them all!

So many Stars in this package!

This is all the numbers you get in a package!

I've used the negative space to fill in the Star Cluster  Thin Cut in some areas and also used the star bits as embellies on the page.

My new FAVOURITE colour is Harbour and that's what I used for the cardstock and the Star Cluster Thin Cut. I also cut some of the As We Grow patterned paper leftover bits throughout the layout and with the Star Cluster Thin Cut as well to get some of the Mulberry pattern and Stars pattern from the As We Grow paper collection in the thin cut.

Perfect solution for that extra photo you want to include but don't have space OR don't want to change the design/look of the layout...FLIP FLAPS my friends...if you haven't tried them out yet you totally need too!

Harbour cardstock Stitched Circles Thin Cuts, a star from the Star Cluster Thin Cuts AND add to my list of favourites...our new Tabs Thin Cuts! Did I say I'm obsessed?!!! Clustering them together on this Flip Flap makes it obvious and easy to lift up the flap to see what's under...which holds my journaling about my day!

Thanks for stopping by and participating in this Hop!
